Sonali Gogate

Sonali Gogate hails from Pune, India and has lived in Bengaluru, India, Bellevue, WA, USA and Mumbai, India for a few years each. She is now based in Pune.

After studying Mathematics and Computer Science, she spent over twenty years working in the software industry. She started working as a software developer and in her long career worked for some startups as well as global giants such as Microsoft in different capacities. She left her job as a Technical Director of a software company at the end of 2014 to pursue writing fulltime.

She loves to read and has been surrounded by books from childhood.
Her hobbies include traveling and trekking/hiking. She has travelled extensively within and outside India; sometimes alone, sometimes with friends and sometimes with strangers. She has also trekked in different parts of the Himalayas.
