Everyone worries that they-or someone they love-will one day develop Alzheimer's. We lose our keys, forget someone's name, and wonder "Am I having a senior moment or is the early stages of Alzheimer's?" Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys a person's memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate and carry out daily activities.

As Alzheimer's progresses, individuals may also experience changes in personality and behavior. Although there is currently no cure for Alzheimer's, early treatment can make an enormous difference in quality of life for patients and their families.
