Pam Grout Interview – March 2017

MARCH 28, 2017 By BRYAN POST

Bryan: I love the idea of “brazen gratitude” discussed in your book, “Thank & Grow Rich“. How did you learn about the importance of gratitude?

Pam: Gratitude is everything. It’s what I call possibility state. It allows us to see the world as it really is. The universe wants nothing but to bless and delight us. But because we’ve tuned into problem state instead (we need to fix this, there’s something wrong, we must employ 7 steps to this or that, etc.), we can’t even see the true reality of our lives. When I’m not brazenly grateful, the crazy little asshat in my mind starts chattering and that never leads to anything good.  I much prefer the blessings.

Bryan: Based on your book, “God Doesn’t Have Bad Hair Days” (the precursor to “E-Squared”), you clearly have a connection to the spiritual side of life. Were you raised in any particular church or religious practice?

Pam: My father was a Methodist minister, so I grew up knowing about this tremendous force called God. And while I was told this guy named God was good, I was also led to believe he was a judgmental prick. So I gave up that doctrine for a spirituality that was more loving. I often compare it to electricity. We don’t have to prove we’re good enough to plug in our toaster to make bagels. We don’t have to tithe or put ashes on our head to merit the electricity that recharges our cell phones. This force is always available and only wants to bless…no matter what.

Bryan: Your books “E-Squared” and “E-Cubed” provide the reader with practical exercises so they can prove for themselves that the mind affects physical reality. Of the 17 experiments in the books, which one is your favorite? Why?

Pam: I don’t have a favorite. They all represent principles I believe are important to know.

Bryan: Which of these natural laws do you consider most important: Law of Vibration or Law of Attraction? Why?

Pam: Aren’t they the same?

Bryan: What resources do you recommend for learning about the natural laws? (websites, books, programs, etc.)

Pam: I’ve been a student of A Course in Miracles for many years. That’s my main squeeze.

Bryan: Do you have a coach or mentor? If so, how often do you interact with them?

Pam: I have what I call possibility posses. We get together and talk about cool things.

Bryan: Are there any courses or programs that you have done and recommend?

Pam: Again, kinda a fangirl of A Course in Miracles.

Bryan: Do you meditate regularly?

Pam: Definitely try to.

Bryan: Do you practice visualization every day?

Pam: Not per se. I believe so strongly that I am loved by the universe that I more or less let it set the agenda.  It’s so much wiser and sees so many more possibilities than I ever could.

Bryan: Do you set goals? If so, what type of goal do you usually set:

1. Goals that you already know how to reach because you have done them before

2. Goals that you are pretty sure you can reach but have never actually done before

3. Goals that you have no idea how you can accomplish

Pam: Again, refer back to Answer 9. I encourage the universe (or what I call the Field of Infinite Potentiality) to do the heavy lifting.

Bryan: Tell us about your current work. What are you working on?

Pam: I have a new book, my 19th, coming out August 2017. It’s called, Art & Soul, Reloaded: A Yearlong Apprenticeship to Summon the Muses and Ignite Your Bold, Audacious, Creative Side.

I’m also returning to work on my TV series about an ecovillage. I jokingly call it Sex and the Country.
