Malavika Rajesh, 17, is from India. Her debut book, Watch Out!, comprising a novella and two short stories, was published when she was twelve. She is the recipient of various awards and honours, including the Sheikh Hamdan Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, the Sharjah Award for Excellence in Education, and the Chiranthana Literary Award for Best Child Author.
She aspires to be a journalist and writes extensively for various youth-run media outlets. She is the founder-executive director of The Indian Inquirer, a media organization centred around young people’s takes on global issues, and currently works as a blogger and content writer for The Parvai Shop. Runaways is her second book.
