Born in Lucknow, but currently a resident of Delhi, Mohini Singh is a Post Graduate in History, who moved to the capital to pursue a career with the National Archives of India. The author s tryst with writing began in her formative years, with short poems and stories. Later, as an under-graduate, she honed her writing skills as part of the editorial team of her college newsletter. The success of her debut novel In the Darkest Hour , which was published in 2011, served as her motivation to create another literary work. Two Sides of a Coin is the result. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Two Sides of a Coin is the story of two women: Kadambari, a 10-year-old girl with a resilient spirit, and her widowed Aunt, Sarita, who adopts her. After a painful separation from her mother, Kadambari sets out to find a place for herself in a broken household. The tender childhood struggle for acceptance, and the strand of necessity binding their lives together, develops over time into a lifelong bond that they will come to cherish. But what may appear as a fairytale to outsiders is nothing but a tale of perceptions, and how the central characters eventually discover that they are nothing but two sides of the same coin.
