Tourism is a contemporary novel written by Nir pal Singh Dhaliwal
This book is a story about a man named Bhupinder Singh Johal, or Puppy as he likes to be called. He is a confident, handsome, and spiritually disenfranchised who left South all,
because it was a suffocating immigrant neighborhood community. He can be described as sexually ambitious, as he wants to live life to the fullest, regardless of any consequences.
Puppy is described as a character who is so charming to the opposite sex, that even the prostitutes provide their services for free. He enters the metropolitan London elite society and takes refuge with Sophie, who is an anorexic fashion journalist who is head over heels for him.
He, however, is solely obsessed with the voluptuous and sophisticated Sapura, who is Sophie’s cousin’s fiancée. In fact, he is more attracted to her riches, but considers her to be the woman of his dreams.
With all the power he has, he tries to make the best out of this glamorous city, to achieve his dreams through the politics of race, money, and sex. His journey in this book transforms him and people around him, into something different altogether.
