This book is designed for the students of B. Tech. Marine Engineering and as per the syllabus of Mathematics-I of Indian Maritime University (IMU). The study material of this book has been specially prepared to clarify formulae with concepts, definitions and procedures, which are well illustrated with diagrams. This book contains only those fundamental prerequisite formulae which will be used for solving the numericals. There are thousands of formulae in Mathematics.

Interestingly, there are several formulae which build on some basic formulae. There are many latent relationships and interrelationships between the formulae as well, which have been explored in great detail in this book. Being able to comprehend, remember and recall the relevant formulae is the prime requirement for solving Mathematical questions. This book is an endeavor to address the aforesaid need.
